Terms of Service
The rules for playing Spot the Difference, using accounts, submitting reports, and relying on site content and services.

Acceptance
By accessing or using Spot the Difference, you agree to these Terms of Service and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please stop using the site. You must have the legal capacity and any parental or guardian permission required in your jurisdiction to accept these terms.
The Service
Spot the Difference is a free online picture-puzzle site. It provides playable puzzle boards, a puzzle library, daily challenges, optional account features, and support channels. We may add, change, pause, or remove features, puzzles, or account capabilities. We may also fix errors, adjust difficulty labels, reprocess images, or remove content that violates these terms or creates legal risk.
The service is provided for personal, non-commercial entertainment. It is not a gambling, contest, lottery, or professional advice service. Unless a specific written agreement says otherwise, no promise of prizes, revenue, rankings, uninterrupted access, or data preservation is made.
User Accounts
Some features can be used without an account. If you create an account, you agree to provide accurate information, keep credentials and OAuth connections secure, and accept responsibility for activity conducted through your account.
Do not share your account, use another person's account without permission, circumvent authentication, sell access, or impersonate another person or business. Notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access. We may suspend or close an account that is compromised, inactive, mistaken for another account, or connected to serious abuse.
Local gameplay progress and streak data stored by your browser can be lost if you clear storage, use another device, change browsers, or start a private session. Account availability does not guarantee synchronization of every local gameplay value.
Acceptable Use
When using the site, you agree not to:
- Violate applicable law or the rights of any person.
- Infringe copyright, trademark, privacy, publicity, or other intellectual property rights.
- Scrape, copy, republish, or redistribute site images or text without permission.
- Interfere with fair play, attempt to manipulate public scores or streaks, or misrepresent gameplay results.
- Probe, scan, or breach security controls; access another user's data; or use automated tools to overload, exploit, or disrupt the service.
- Upload malware, spam, deceptive links, unlawful content, sexually explicit material, or content harmful to minors.
- Harass support staff, submit repeated bad-faith reports, or use tickets to distribute unwanted material.
- Remove, obscure, or alter technical protection measures, attribution, or platform-provided controls.
You may link to public pages and share page URLs. Quoting a short portion of page text with a link is welcome, but systematic republication, image hotlinking as a substitute for your own content, or framing the site to imply endorsement is not permitted.
Content, Reports, and Fair Play
Puzzle images, difference data, page copy, design, code, branding, and site structure are protected by intellectual property rights. We or our licensors own these materials. You receive a limited right to view and play the public site in a normal web browser; you do not receive ownership or a license to reuse site content commercially.
We review puzzles for alignment, playable click zones, and a consistent difference count, but visual scenes may still contain subjective difficulty. Results, timers, penalties, hints, and streaks are for entertainment and personal tracking rather than certification.
If you believe content is unlawful or infringes your rights, use the Contact page and provide the specific page address, affected material, explanation, and contact details. Good-faith reports help us investigate and remove or disable access when appropriate. Knowing false reports may result in support restrictions.
Optional Payments
If paid features are enabled, prices, billing periods, and purchase terms will be shown before checkout. Paid features may depend on a valid account. We do not store complete card numbers; payment providers process payment data under their own terms and privacy policies.
Where required by law, you may cancel a subscription through the applicable account or payment interface before renewal. Fees already due remain payable unless a specific refund right applies. We may reverse fraudulent, erroneous, duplicate, or abusive transactions.
Availability and Support
We aim to keep the site available, but we do not promise uninterrupted or error-free operation. Maintenance, hosting failures, network events, security incidents, quota limits, browser differences, force majeure, or changes in third-party services can affect availability.
You can report bugs and accessibility issues through the support channel described on the Contact page. Providing the puzzle number, device, browser, expected behavior, and actual behavior lets us investigate more efficiently. Support is provided at our discretion and does not create a separate service-level obligation.
Termination
You may stop using the site at any time. Where account settings permit, you may close or delete your account.
We may suspend or terminate access, remove content, or disable an account if we reasonably believe these terms have been violated, an account threatens security or service stability, required payment cannot be verified, or removal is needed for legal reasons. Where fair notice is practical, we will try to provide it. Sections that should logically survive termination, including intellectual property, disclaimers, liability limits, payment obligations, and dispute or legal provisions, will survive.
Disclaimers
The site and all content are provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, except warranties that cannot legally be excluded. We do not warrant that puzzles will always match your expectations, images will remain available forever, third-party sign-in or payment services will remain operational, local browser data will never be lost, or the site will be free of errors or downtime.
Any downloadable files, external links, and third-party services are provided for convenience and remain under their own controls. We are not responsible for third-party content or policies.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, neither we nor our providers, owners, employees, or agents will be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, punitive, or exemplary damages, or for lost profits, revenue, goodwill, data, or browser-stored progress arising from or connected with your use of the site.
Our aggregate liability for direct damages arising from your use of the site is limited to the greater of the amount you paid to us during the twelve months before the event or one hundred US dollars. This limit applies even if a remedy fails its essential purpose. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot legally be limited, including liability for fraud, willful misconduct, death, or personal injury caused by negligence.
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold us harmless from third-party claims, damages, and reasonable costs to the extent arising from your violation of law or these terms, your infringement of another party's rights, or your unauthorized use of the service, except where prohibited by law.
Governing Law and Disputes
If a dispute cannot be resolved through support, the parties should first attempt a good-faith resolution. Any formal proceeding must be brought individually and not as a plaintiff or class member in a class, consolidated, or representative action, to the extent permitted by law. These terms are not intended to create rights for third parties.
We may seek injunctive relief for intellectual property or security violations without first posting a bond where permitted. If a court finds any provision unenforceable, the rest remains in force.
Changes to These Terms
We may modify these terms as the site and applicable rules change. We will update the date at the top of this page and provide additional notice for material changes where appropriate. After changes take effect, continued use means you accept the updated terms.

Questions about these terms can be submitted through the support channel described on our Contact page.
